Betsy Ann Got Me, Too

From Betsy Ann's blog...
WOMEN WRITERS ONLY who get tagged are supposed to answer one of the three below questions and then tag 5 other women. (or start a new round of tags if you want to play along anyway!)

Here are the questions:

1. If you could write a novel about any subject, what would it be? (Just the subject–don’t give away your plot idea!)

2. If just the thought of having to write anything gives you hives, what would you like to read about in a novel that you’ve never seen done before?

3. If you hate reading fiction (you can get counseling for that, you know), what subject might make you change your mind or try it anyway?

I'm going to answer #1.....Any subject? Wow, there's so many I'd like to tap....but, considering, I think I'd like to one day try my hand at a courtroom/legal thriller.

Now, let's see....who do I tag? Hmm....if you're a woman writer, why don't you just answer one of the questions here as a reply? How's that?

Southern Suspense writing......Ca c'est bon!

Write a novel about anything? Hmmm. Think I'm already doing that. If I were too write, say, a non-fiction, it would probably be about my years as an adoptive and foster parent. I can't do it, though. Too many struggles that would cause too many people pain. But that's what I would write about. Maybe one day I'll write a YA about my growing up in the South.

I'd be writing a novel about the "Religion Box," which is an interesting collection of *stuff* a woman told me about, years ago...well-disguised, of course, so that no one's confidence is destroyed. :-)

In fact, if my CP has her way, we'll collaborate on it together. (A truly scary thought.)

As for #2 and #3, I don't have the non-fiction-reading disease...fiction is about all I read, considering that my day gig is editing nonfiction.

Oh, and blogs. (sigh)

Back to work!

I have this immensely fun and outrageous idea for a book about a really conservative Christian woman and her extremely straight laced work-aholic husband who have an affair--with each other--to spice up there lives. So far what I've written would NEVER be published in CBA. I promise you. But it's funny with a lot of truth in it about sex and guilt and passion and where to draw the line. I love it.
