I found this review on Amazon by a Barbara Warren. Please enter me for the free book:
I have enjoyed every one of Robin Caroll's Bayou series. This is the fourth book, and it's a good one. Tara LeBlanc is the only one of the three sisters who is still involved with voodoo. Even her grandmother, Marie, the one who taught the girls about the old ways, has become a Christian and forsaken her former beliefs. Tara resents what she sees as their betrayal of what they have been taught. She wants no part of the fairytale about God. The voodoo spirits are good enough for her.

Tanty Shaw, an eldery friend who is teaching Tara about voodoo, is found lying on the floor of her house. She's now in the hospital in a coma, and Sheriff Bubba Theriot, Tanty's nephew is investigating the case. Bubba, a devoted Christian, isn't about to buy Tara's theory that someone poisoned her. Then Tara's grandmother is found in a coma and it begins to look as if something sinister is going on. Bubba is attracted to Tara, but he doesn't want anything to do with a woman who practices voodoo. Can God and the love of a good man change someone as stubborn as Tara LeBlanc?
If you like romance and suspense in an exotic setting, you'll want to try Robin Caroll's Bayou series. They're all great reading.

Here's one I found on Amazon on Bayou Justice.
Left me wanting more!, December 31, 2007
By Tanya Dennis "www.TanyaDennisBooks.com" - See all my reviews

Coco LeBlanc, an alligator conservationist, lives on the Louisiana bayou with her younger sister and their grandmother, a voodoo priestess. The book opens with her ex-fiance's grandfather serving them an eviction notice. The next day Coco finds his body in the bayou. She and Luc broke up two years before and have hardly spoken since. Now both of them are suspects for the murder and have only each other on their sides.

It took me a while to get into this book, but once I did, I couldn't put it down. It's got twists galore and a nice level of unpredictability. The detailed plot expertly entwines religious beliefs, family loyalties, romance, the Confederacy and the KKK.

An excellent debut offering; an entertaining, suspenseful read. I gladly recommend this book and look forward to the second in this series, Bayou Corruption (Bayou Series, Book 2) (Steeple Hill Love Inspired Suspense #89), to be released February 2008.

This review is from the Barnes and Noble site.

Posted June 14, 2007, 4:43 PM EST: Debut author, Robin Caroll, spins a suspenseful tale of south Louisiana culture with murder, voodoo, and gators. I was left guessing up to the very end as to who the killer was. Great read if you love mysteries/suspense.

This is taken off the RT site:
Formerly engaged, CoCo LeBlanc and Luc Trahan are working together to discover who murdered Luc's grandfather. Both had what the sheriff deems strong motives, so they join forces to prove their innocence. As time wears on, however, CoCo and Luc are also trying to fight the potent rekindled feelings they're both experiencing. Bayou Justice (4.5), by Robin Caroll, is a solid story that has a powerful emotional edge, as well as compelling secondary characters. The parallel stories of Luc and CoCo's relationship and the solving of the murder are excellently handled.

This is such a great book!

It completely immersed this Hawaii-grown-California-girl in the Southern Cajun culture without making me feel like I've landed on another planet. The setting is like another character in the story, incorporating everything from alligators to Confederate history to voodoo.

CoCo is a spitfire and I loved her. If you like strong heroines, this is the chick for you.

I also loved the strong family ties of both CoCo and Luc. Despite CoCo's nonChristian family, she loves them fiercely and their bonds are strong. None of the sisters are afraid to tell another what they think of their actions, which cracked me up since it's so much like me and my spiritual sisters in Christ. Luc's family has its problems, but they're loyal and caring for each other.

The suspense plot has tons of twists and turns. The mystery never lets up for a second--problems crop up left and right, new suspects, new motives. I felt like anybody could be the murderer up until the last few pages.

The ending (solving the mystery part) is a bit rushed, but everything resolves nicely.

This is a great book for a teen or preteen, because it's got romance, suspense, and culture, and it's completely appropriate for readers as young as 6th grade. I actually intend to hand this to a few of the junior highers and high schoolers I work with at church because I think they'll really like it

Hi Robin! I have read the entire Bayou series and am looking forward to reading your latest book Bayou Betrayl, which I have a copy of! Your characters just come to life on the pages of your books. You are very good at pulling the reader in. I, for one, have a difficult time putting your books down once I've started to read one of them! :) You easily blend suspense and romance into each of your books. Keep up the good work! I look forward to seeing what the future brings from you! Blessings! Kelly

PS: I also have purchased Framed from Steeple Hill and have it in my pile of "books to read."
